bark edge cherry wood bowl

This natural bark edge cherry wood bowl is a true beauty. The wonderful wood grain of the cherry tree flows in small eddies and currents like the ocean, following the contours of the bark of the tree. Hand turned on a lathe to a wall thickness of about 1/8", the bowl is feathery light but bold and strong. 
Suggested uses as a fruit bowl, candy dish, or as a stand-alone centerpiece sure to attract admiring comments. A coffee table is the perfect place for this dish, but a bookshelf would also be a great location to show it off. 
Finish is food safe to allow use as a fruit bowl or serving dish for dry foods.
