Hand turned stacking yarn bowls
A great gift for the knitter or crocheter (is that a word?), these hand made natural wood bowls each hold a ball of yarn, which threads through the port in the side. Made to stack neatly, with a heavy fitted lid to prevent vandalism by curious cats.
Custom made to order; lead time is 3-4 weeks. Wood species depends on availability. Could be Oak, Ash, Hemlock, Walnut or other domestic hardwood. If you have a preference of species, we will do our best to accomodate, but may extend the lead time.
A WORD ABOUT BOWLS
Turned bowls are generally made with green wood. As such, they tend to move (in woodworking language, that means shrink and grow) with humidity. Sometimes that causes the bowl to warp and lids to bind. If that happens, we can generally fix it. You just have to let us know.
